Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.57076.85 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 07 February 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 7799.46 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 49276.78 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Feb-25 futures was reached at 20245 point.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 5249.19 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was up by 0.32% to Rs. 84714 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Feb-25 contract was up by 0.34% to Rs. 67803 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.32% to Rs. 8366 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Mar-25 contract was up by 0.33% to Rs. 84130 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was up by 0.16% to Rs. 95738 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.16% to Rs. 95521 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.15% to Rs. 95509 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2173.24 crores with volume of 2567 lots and OI of 18284 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1064.54 crores with volume of 3698 lots and OI of 28878 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1070.97 crores. COPPER Feb-25 contract was up by 0.82% to Rs. 861.7 per kg and ZINC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.87% to Rs. 271.7 per kg while ALUMINIUM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.76% to Rs. 257.9 per kg and LEAD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.11% to Rs. 180.8 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 576.10 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 104.38 crores, Lead futures Rs. 21.22 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 268.24 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1478.29 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.37% to Rs. 6233 per BBL while NATURALGAS Feb-25 contract was up by 0.85% to Rs. 298.3 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 314.70 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 924.86 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.2% to Rs. 916 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 without any changes 53700 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 49276.78 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 720.47 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was up by 2.77% to Rs. 85.40 with volume of 54932 lots & OI of 22873 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6200 was down by 10.28% to Rs. 103 with volume of 58839 lots & OI of 13669 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was up by 6.79% to Rs. 14.15 with volume of 12171 lots & OI of 5776 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.290 was down by 7.92% to Rs. 11.05 with volume of 8732 lots & OI of 6647 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.86000 was up by 12.5% to Rs. 621.00 with volume of 741 lots & OI of 475 lots, while Gold Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.84000 was down by 13.2% to Rs. 825 with volume of 1377 lots & OI of 560 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was up by 4.19% to Rs. 2500.00 with volume of 979 lots & OI of 1175 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by 4.39% to Rs. 1732.5 with volume of 926 lots & OI of 557 lots.GOLD and SILVER futures gains
