
Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.52558.31 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 18 February 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 9739.14 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 42819.06 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Feb-25 futures was reached at 20403 point.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 6581.39 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was up by 0.49% to Rs. 85473 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Feb-25 contract was up by 0.43% to Rs. 69058 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.61% to Rs. 8626 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Mar-25 contract was up by 0.5% to Rs. 85179 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was up by 0.43% to Rs. 95992 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.42% to Rs. 95810 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.42% to Rs. 95785 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2841.82 crores with volume of 3324 lots and OI of 17277 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1681.33 crores with volume of 5816 lots and OI of 27208 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1085.02 crores. COPPER Feb-25 contract was down by 0.08% to Rs. 864.15 per kg and ZINC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.48% to Rs. 269.55 per kg while ALUMINIUM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.37% to Rs. 259.35 per kg and LEAD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.25% to Rs. 179.9 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 750.40 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 111.95 crores, Lead futures Rs. 7.11 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 151.60 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2067.84 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.23% to Rs. 6212 per BBL while NATURALGAS Feb-25 contract was up by 0.29% to Rs. 313.2 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 798.32 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1005.52 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.15% to Rs. 924 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 contract was up by 0.24% to Rs. 54280 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 42819.06 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 613.34 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was up by 6.2% to Rs. 152.40 with volume of 27712 lots & OI of 6307 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6200 was down by 9.72% to Rs. 164.4 with volume of 33124 lots & OI of 7611 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.310 was up by 3.85% to Rs. 9.45 with volume of 20983 lots & OI of 6132 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.310 was down by 7.35% to Rs. 6.3 with volume of 22794 lots & OI of 7924 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.86000 was up by 26.41% to Rs. 560.00 with volume of 1012 lots & OI of 726 lots, while Gold Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.85000 was down by 23.79% to Rs. 620 with volume of 1151 lots & OI of 796 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was up by 22.44% to Rs. 1236.00 with volume of 1829 lots & OI of 1115 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was down by 10.65% to Rs. 1254 with volume of 1525 lots & OI of 346 lots.
