
Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.96719.04 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 20 February 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 14417.21 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 82299.13 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Feb-25 futures was reached at 20693 point.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 8450.85 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was up by 0.58% to Rs. 86406 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Feb-25 contract was up by 0.75% to Rs. 70119 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.46% to Rs. 8764 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Mar-25 contract was up by 0.53% to Rs. 86170 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was up by 1.3% to Rs. 97657 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was up by 1.22% to Rs. 97398 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was up by 1.19% to Rs. 97327 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 3749.22 crores with volume of 4336 lots and OI of 18200 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2077.97 crores with volume of 7084 lots and OI of 27596 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1614.43 crores. COPPER Feb-25 contract was up by 0.24% to Rs. 870.15 per kg and ZINC Feb-25 contract was up by 1.02% to Rs. 271.4 per kg while ALUMINIUM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.91% to Rs. 264.8 per kg and LEAD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.22% to Rs. 179.95 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1027.24 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 157.17 crores, Lead futures Rs. 33.30 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 279.91 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 4394.03 crores. CRUDEOIL Mar-25 contract was down by 0.1% to Rs. 6282 per BBL while NATURALGAS Feb-25 contract was down by 0.46% to Rs. 367.1 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 233.59 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 3498.28 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.05% to Rs. 924 per kg .
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 82299.13 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1326.02 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was down by 5.26% to Rs. 158.50 with volume of 33095 lots & OI of 7984 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was up by 2.62% to Rs. 180.2 with volume of 28055 lots & OI of 6773 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.400 was up by 58.54% to Rs. 3.25 with volume of 59606 lots & OI of 5880 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.350 was up by 41.54% to Rs. 4.6 with volume of 69891 lots & OI of 7216 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.87000 was up by 36.53% to Rs. 491.50 with volume of 1443 lots & OI of 637 lots, while Gold Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.86000 was down by 25.38% to Rs. 592.5 with volume of 1794 lots & OI of 681 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.98000 was up by 73.46% to Rs. 804.00 with volume of 2955 lots & OI of 729 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.97000 was down by 44.8% to Rs. 738 with volume of 3145 lots & OI of 908 lots.
