Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.39230.93 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Thursday, April 10, 2025 till 6:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 6009.59 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 33221.03 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Apr-25 futures was reached at 20991.

Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs. 4213.70 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with June-2025 expiry contract opened at Rs 91464, touched an all-time high of Rs 91464 on the upside, and bottomed at Rs 90911 and closed at Rs 91326 per 10 gram, up by Rs 1522 or 1.69 % from its previous close of Rs 89804. GOLDTEN April-2025 contract was up by Rs.1201 or 1.34% to Rs. 90812 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA April-2025 contract was up by Rs.949 or 1.32% to Rs. 73001 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL April-2025 contract was up by Rs.119 or 1.32% to Rs. 9162 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM May-2025 contract was up by Rs.1417 or 1.58% to Rs. 90906 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with May-2025 expiry contract was up by Rs.417 or 0.46% to Rs. 91561 per kg, while SILVERM April-2025 contract was up by Rs.472 or 0.52% to Rs. 91654 per kg and SILVERMIC April-2025 contract was up by Rs.471 or 0.52% to Rs. 91640 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1954.46 crores with volume of 2143 lots and OI of 20215 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 758.10 crores with volume of 2758 lots and OI of 26614 lots.

Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs. 509.06 crores. COPPER April-2025 contract was up by Rs.4.75 or 0.58% to Rs. 827 per kg and ZINC April-2025 contract was up by Rs.1.85 or 0.74% to Rs. 252.75 per kg while ALUMINIUM April-2025 contract was up by Rs.2.6 or 1.12% to Rs. 234.8 per kg and LEAD April-2025 contract was up by Rs.1.2 or 0.68% to Rs. 177.15 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 321.16 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs. 56.93 crores, LEAD futures Rs. 17.19 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs. 72.58 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs. 1286.84 crores. CRUDEOIL April-2025 contract was down by Rs.21 or 0.4% to Rs. 5244 per BBL while NATURALGAS April-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.8 or 0.25% to Rs. 319 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs. 283.11 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs. 838.75 crores.

Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 33221.03 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 663.06 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5300 was down by Rs.13 or 10.08% to Rs. 116.00 with volume of 23743 lots & OI of 12581 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5200 was up by Rs.10.5 or 9.17% to Rs. 125 with volume of 32760 lots & OI of 7043 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.320 was down by Rs.0.55 or 3.42% to Rs. 15.55 with volume of 15844 lots & OI of 5091 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.320 was up by Rs.0.3 or 1.85% to Rs. 16.5 with volume of 12817 lots & OI of 3315 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was up by Rs.220.5 or 86.13% to Rs. 476.5 with volume of 520 lots & OI of 528 lots, while GOLD Put Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.88000 was down by Rs.296.5 or 32.3% to Rs. 621.5 with volume of 516 lots & OI of 1066 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.92000 was up by Rs.66 or 3.36% to Rs. 2032.5 with volume of 626 lots & OI of 407 lots, while SILVER Put Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was down by Rs.209.5 or 11.76% to Rs. 1572 with volume of 302 lots & OI of 743 lots.
