Mumbai, 15th September. ‘Hindi Diwas Samaroh’ was organized under the joint aegis of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy, Mumbai and S. B. City College, Nagpur, under which an elegant seminar was held on the topic ‘The current condition and direction of Hindi’.
In this ceremony organized at S. B. City College, Vice President of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy, Mrs. Priyanka Thakur was present as the chief guest and Executive Member of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy, Dr. Vijendra Batra was present as the keynote speaker. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Rajendra Naikwade, President of Marathi Study Board of Rashtra Sant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University.
Chief Guest Mrs. Priyanka Thakur, while explaining the importance of Hindi language, gave detailed information about the various activities of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy and the works done for the promotion and development of Hindi language. In his speech, the keynote speaker Dr. Vijendra Batra threw light on the past, present status and future of Hindi language. He also discussed in detail the importance, influence, expansion and requirements of Hindi.
He praised the use of mother tongue in the new education system and hoped that like one constitution and one flag, Hindi will definitely be established as the national language of India in the coming times, because Hindi is the thread with which all languages can be joined in a garland. In his presidential address, Dr. Rajendra Naikwade presented his views regarding Hindi language and literature. Throwing light on the importance and utility of Hindi, he said that Hindi is the only language that deserves to be the national language in the true sense. This function was organized under the guidance of the Principal of the college, Sujit Maitreya.
The introduction of the seminar was presented by the coordinator of the Hindi department of the college, Dr. Sudha Jangid. The entire function was anchored by Dr. Nikhilesh Yadav and Mrs. Neelima Mate expressed gratitude. A large number of professors and students of the college were present in the function. Nagpur Shikshan Mandal’s President Mohit Shah, Vice President Vikas Binjhani and Organization Secretary Advocate Rajiv Dev praised this elegant function organized on the occasion of Hindi Diwas and emphasized on organizing such programs in future as well.
