Mumbai News : Mumbai, 1st August. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the legendary story and novel emperor of Hindi literature world, Munshi Premchand, the story writing workshop organized by the prestigious Hindi literary magazine “Srijanika”, Hindi Department of Mumbai University and Hindi Department’s magazine “Shodhavari” in JP Naik Auditorium, Kalina Campus, Mumbai University on Wednesday, 31 July, 2024, was concluded with a dignified ceremony. The active participation of the new generation in this story writing workshop significantly enriched the interest and creativity of the students towards Hindi literature.
Senior advocate and senior BJP leader Advocate Dinanath Tiwari was present as the chief guest of the ceremony in front of a large number of litterateurs, literature lovers and students. Apart from him, as special guests, Raymond Group’s senior officer and poet Frank Powell and Mumbai University’s Hindi department head Dr. Dattatraya Murumkar shared their experiences and highlighted the growing importance of story writing in the current era. Advocate Dinanath Tiwari said in his address that the new generation is participating with full dedication in the journey of progress of Hindi literature. This is a very pleasant sign. He said that “Srijanika” is continuously progressing as a high-level literary magazine. Dr. Dattatreya Murumkar told about the journey of Premchand to become the king of stories in an interesting way. Congratulating the organizers, he said that in today’s context, such workshops and seminars should be organized regularly. He assured to give all possible support to the magazine. Frank Powell, a popular poet who wrote poems in English, suggested to the budding writers and students to make human sensitivities and social values the basis of their creations. Senior writer and Editorial Advisor of “Srijanika” Dr. Hubnath Pandey explained the tricks of story writing and its various parameters in his introductory address. Editor of “Srijanika” and senior writer Dr. Amrish Sinha, while throwing light on the journey of “Srijanika” so far, said that in the process of story writing, importance should be given to the weaving of relationships, not to artificial life. In his inspirational address, he said that in creativity, the role of the writer is that of a weaver. He weaves his feelings with words, only then a good composition is created. Famous children’s story writer Samir Ganguly and popular story writer of touching stories Dr. Jaya Anand gave information about various dimensions of writing in an interesting way and encouraged them. Rajesh Kumar Sinha, Chief Sub Editor of “Srujanika” recited notable poems about Munshi Premchand, which were highly appreciated. Dr. Awadhesh Kumar Rai threw light on the relevance of Premchand and Dr. Bhagyashree Verma, Editor of “Shodhavari” magazine explained in detail about the process of creative writing. Dr. Shyamal Banasod showed the usefulness of creative writing. Dr. Namita Nimbalkar called upon the writers to promote the soft emotions of humanity in their writing. Senior writer and eminent stage presenter Anand Prakash Singh in his motivational address stressed the need to make reading as much as possible a habit. In the second session of the whole day workshop, a story writing competition was organized, in which a total of seventy students and other writers participated. Rajesh Kumar Jha and Bhimsen Singh got the first and second prizes respectively in this competition. Ragini Kamble and Aasiya Sheikh jointly became the winners of the third prize. Executive member of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy and Media and Public Relations in-charge of “Srujanika”, Gajanan Mahatpurkar presented a special poem dedicated to Munshi Premchand and received appreciation from everyone and in the end he expressed his gratitude to everyone in his unique poetic style. Deputy Editor of “Srujanika” Prince Grover conducted the entire function in an excellent manner. Pushpa Chaudhary, Sakshi Sharma, Sadanand Chitale, Priya Pokle, Shreya, Satish Dhuri, Sitaram Dubey, Sunita Nagpure, Anita, Shubham Srivastava, Pramod and many active writers of the city, besides students of various classes of Mumbai University were present in this function.
