Mumbai, 15th November. In a remarkable display of compassion and commitment to empowering adolescent girls, on the occasion of Children’s Day, leading social service organization “Sheetal Lodha Foundation” distributed necessary educational material to 130 orphaned teenage girls at Bal Bhavan, Charni Road, Mumbai.
This “Joy of Giving” donation drive of the Foundation was led by Ms. Yashvi Lodha. In this drive, various educational materials and stationery were distributed to 130 adolescent girls aged between 6 to 18 years living in the orphanage. In this donation drive organized in the spirit of generosity, these adolescent girls were also provided with the necessary equipment for their educational journey, which instilled enthusiasm in them. By equipping them with the necessary resources for their studies, Ms. Yashvi Lodha and her team highlighted the importance of education in the lives of these adolescent girls. The campaign emphasised on community support and boosted the confidence of each adolescent. Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Sheetal Lodha, Founder of the Foundation, in her simple and empowering message said to always be happy and keep smiling. She explained to the adolescent girls that happiness and positivity create a ripple effect in our minds and everyone has the amazing power to brighten the lives of others by sharing happiness. Her words – “A genuine smile can make a big difference”, touched everyone’s hearts. Ms. Yashvi Lodha said that she got the inspiration of social service in her life from her grandmother and renowned social worker Mrs. Manju Lodha and she wants to continue following in her footsteps.
She said that her foundation gives great importance to the ambitions and education of adolescent girls. She also emphasized the importance of working hard by all adolescent girls. They were also encouraged to believe that with determination, even the most difficult challenges can be overcome. She said that our life is full of opportunities and every thought has the ability to move forward with dedication and hard work. All the girls also responded with enthusiasm and said that today we have learned valuable lessons about confidence, determination and infinite possibilities ahead in our lives. This unique initiative not only enriched the lives of the adolescent girls of Bal Bhavan, but also underlined the power of community support in nurturing young talents. The educational material provided to them will not only carry forward their learning experience, but will also encourage them to continue their studies with fresh optimism and enthusiasm. On this occasion, Ms. Tarushi Lodha, as a teenager herself, shared knowledge about confidence in her ideological expression. She said that it is most important to believe in yourself to achieve success. She encouraged all adolescent girls to hold their dreams and concentrate. Also advised them that having faith in their abilities is the key to achieving any goal set by them in life.
