Mumbai, 17th February. In view of the excellent cultural contribution as a well-known theater actress, theater director, producer and cine actress of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, Smt. Priyanka Shakti Thakur has been appointed to the post of ‘State General Secretary’ of the Maharashtra unit of cultural cell of Bharatiya Janata Party.
The order for her appointment has been issued by Maharashtra State President of BJP Cultural Cell, Ms. Priya Berde. It is noteworthy that at present, Mrs. Priyanka, who is continuously active as the Vice President of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy, Mumbai has got this new important responsibility due to her various patriotic drama performances in the field of theater, based on the great national legends like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Subhash Chandra Bose, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Tantya Bhil & Jhalkari Bai. She has been widely appreciated for numerous commendable performances of various grand dramas based on the life of these national legends. It is also noteworthy that apart from the post of Vice President of Hindi Sahitya Academy, Mrs. Thakur is also performing her responsibilities as the chairperson of the B.Voc. Drama department of VMV College, Nagpur, very successfully. On the occasion of the new appointment of Mrs. Thakur, various executive members of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy have heartily congratulated her and extended best wishes for her successful tenure in the future.
