
Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.100906.96 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 14 February 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 16082.11 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 84820.84 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Feb-25 futures was reached at 20664 point.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 12531.51 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was up by 0.34% to Rs. 86101 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Feb-25 contract was up by 0.51% to Rs. 69577 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.96% to Rs. 8657 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Mar-25 contract was up by 0.3% to Rs. 85623 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was up by 2.51% to Rs. 97627 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was up by 2.41% to Rs. 97379 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was up by 2.41% to Rs. 97334 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 3346.77 crores with volume of 3880 lots and OI of 18113 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 4858.08 crores with volume of 16556 lots and OI of 29594 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1644.56 crores. COPPER Feb-25 contract was up by 1.1% to Rs. 877.4 per kg and ZINC Feb-25 contract was up by 1.07% to Rs. 269.65 per kg while ALUMINIUM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.84% to Rs. 258.7 per kg and LEAD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.36% to Rs. 179.15 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1149.14 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 110.35 crores, Lead futures Rs. 20.90 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 259.26 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1945.85 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.15% to Rs. 6205 per BBL while NATURALGAS Feb-25 contract was up by 1.71% to Rs. 321.9 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 326.27 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1347.34 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.25% to Rs. 917 per kg .
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 84820.84 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 824.99 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6200 was down by 4.49% to Rs. 55.30 with volume of 136699 lots & OI of 26829 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6200 was down by 22.4% to Rs. 48.5 with volume of 135482 lots & OI of 23760 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.320 was up by 37.36% to Rs. 12.50 with volume of 25301 lots & OI of 7029 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.320 was down by 24.5% to Rs. 9.4 with volume of 20117 lots & OI of 5965 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.87000 was up by 11.01% to Rs. 585.00 with volume of 1104 lots & OI of 553 lots, while Gold Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.85000 was down by 16.8% to Rs. 530 with volume of 1371 lots & OI of 796 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was up by 143.96% to Rs. 838.00 with volume of 1994 lots & OI of 1610 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by 56.67% to Rs. 628.5 with volume of 2708 lots & OI of 949 lots.
