Dr. Dinesh Pratap Singh, executive member of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy, Mumbai, has been honored with Manik Verma Smriti National Award for his social novel ‘Ballav’. He was presented this prestigious award at the award ceremony, organized by Akhil Hindi Sahitya Sabha at Fatehpuri Samaj Bhavan in Indore by District Judge Rajkumar Verma of Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. Under the reward, he was presented a memento, letter of honour, money, Angavastra, Manikmala and Shreephal.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Dinesh Pratap Singh said that the author and the creator presents his thoughts, experience, life values and environment through his book. The idea of rewarding that book by society and governance is that the thinking and ideas of the author has been accepted. On this occasion, excellent works of twenty-four litterateurs across the country were awarded with various awards. The award ceremony was presided over by the distinguished poet Satyanarayan Sattan and was anchored by KB Mansare. The award ceremony was organized by the president of the Indore branch of Ahisas, Dr. Banwari Lal Jajodia. In this, the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Madhya Pradesh Dharmendra Singh Lodhi was the Chief Guest, while Manoj Shrivastava, former Additional Chief Secretary and Culture Secretary of the state was present as Distinguished Guest.
National President of Ahisas Sheila Dongre, litterateur Kailash Vindasaria, Arun Jain, Dheeraj Garg etc. were also present. On this occasion, the book “Arunima” edited by Banwarilal Jajodia was also released, which describes the life introduction of 61 litterateurs from across the country, associated with Ahisas and their struggle. Also, the handwritten booklet of the world’s longest poem of 1,361 lines was also released. Along with the award ceremony, the National Kavi Sammelan was also organized. In this, invited poets from across the country – Rajkumar Verma- Bhopal, Kamalkant Sharma- Datia, Vinod Nagar-Bhopal, Ramesh Vajpayee-Karera, Ramswaroop Sahu-Mumbai, Mohan Bhardwaj- Gurugram, Sudesh Bhatia-Delhi, Suman Mishra- Jhansi, Yashwant Magari-Jhabua, Ramesh Changenia – Ujjain, Pushpa Singh- Assam, Ramkrishna – Nagpur & Indore’s Anjul Kansal, Rajkumar Handa, Sunil Verma, Asha Jakad etc. presented their various poems. In this ceremony, out of all the units spread across the country of the Akhil Hindi Sahitya Sabha, the presidents of the units of the states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Assam and Bihar presented the reports of their units. More than two hundred litterateurs, poets, writers, literature lovers and journalists from Indore and other parts of the country attended the function organized in two sessions of the day.
