- Various excellent Hindi Writers felicitated by Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy
National News: Mumbai, 12th March. “Litterateur should not be dependent on the king but he should be rewarded by the king. It is the duty of the society and the nation to reward a true litterateur and inspire him to create good literature and preserve culture.” The above views were expressed by Dr. Shitala Prasad Dubey – Executive President of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy, in the dignified award distribution ceremony for the year 2023-24, organized by the Academy on Monday, 11th March, 2024 in the auditorium of Jai Hind College at Churchgate, Mumbai.

In this sequence, Vice President of the Academy, Mrs. Manju Lodha said that the Academy itself is feeling honored by honouring all these excellent litterateurs. Senior member of the Academy, Dr. Sudhakar Mishra, while mentioning the incident of the first meeting of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and famous poet Bhushan, said that the land of Maharashtra has always respected litterateurs. It is a matter of happiness that the Academy is successfully carrying forward the same tradition.
He said that Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy has set many records in the last few days due to its activeness, the credit for which goes to the energetic leadership of Dr. Dubey, the Executive President of the Academy. He said that only a rare personality like Dubey ji can organize such a grand award ceremony in a very short time of one week. In this function, the Academy gave the All India Jeevan Gaurav Award to Acharya Udayan Mimansak, who paved the way for Indian culture, knowledge tradition and Hindi language literature in South India.

Similarly, Dr. Rambodh Pandey, the author of many epics like ‘Yug Pravartak Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’ was felicitated with Shri Ram Manohar Tripathi All India Jeevan Gaurav Award. In addition to these prestigious awards, state level Jeevan Gaurav Awards were given to 8 dignitaries who contributed significantly in the spread of Hindi literature. Also, gold, silver and bronze prizes were awarded to selected writers in 14 genres of Hindi literature.
All these awards were jointly presented by Dr. Shitla Prasad Dubey- Executive President of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy, Vice President of Academy Mrs. Manju Lodha, Senior Members of the Academy Dr. Sudhakar Mishra, Dr. Pramod Shukla and Shyam Sharma and Senior Journalist Vimal Mishra. During the award distribution ceremony, a large number of litterateurs, hindi lovers, journalists, prize winners and their families were present.
In the beginning, after lighting the lamp by all the guests, the well-known singer Ms. Chhaya Sakhare performed the melodious performance of Saraswati Vandana and in the end, Sachin Nimbalkar, co-director and secretary of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy, thanked everyone. The entire function was anchored by Anand Singh, a well-known announcer of All India Radio and senior member of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy. This elegant ceremony, which began with the performance of the Maharashtra State Geet, ended with the national anthem.
