Evening made memorable by attractive display of cultural heritage of various states
Mumbai, 17th July. A spectacular cultural and literary function was organized in the Trump Tower Auditorium of Lodha Park, Mumbai on the evening of Tuesday, 16th July, 2024 under the joint aegis of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy, Mumbai and Gyan Gangotri Kala Manch. This function dedicated to national integrity and social concerns became memorable as a result of the attractive display of cultural heritage of various states of India and left an indelible mark on the minds of all the audience present.
In this colourful function, various personalities who have done remarkable work in various fields were honored. Cultural and poetic presentations were also held. In this function, the chief guest was famous Bollywood actor and social worker Sonu Sood, while senior writer and satirist Ms. Suryabala and famous classical singer of Banaras Gharana Dr. Soma Ghosh were present as special guests. Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy’s working president Dr. Sheetla Prasad Dubey and Academy’s vice-president and Lodha Foundation’s president Dr. Manju Lodha were prominent guests. Apart from all these, senior journalist Sudha Shrimali, famous Dhrupad singer Pandit Sukhdev Chaturvedi, Bollywood’s famous playback singer Virag Wankhede and various personalities including Mumbai’s brave martyr soldier Vinayak Gore’s Veermata Anuradha Gore were honored with Gyan Gangotri Kala Manch’s prestigious Samman Trophy and Tulsi plant.
Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy, Mumbai’s executive members Anand Singh, Gajanan Mahatpurkar and Mrs. Pramila Sharma presented their various poetic creations. Many dignitaries including Archana Jain, Simran Ahuja, Nisha Jamwal, Seema Singh, Nayak Pratik Gaurav and Anand Jain, Guru Mickey Mehta, Pallavi Singh, Anushka Iyer, Aparna Shah, Deepti, poetess Yashoda Solanki and Secretary of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy Sachin Nimbalkar also attended the function. The main attraction of the function was the captivating presentation of popular dances and music of Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and South India by the senior women members of Gyan Gangotri Kala Manch, which were highly appreciated by the audience. The cultural heritage of various states of India was well depicted in these presentations.
Speaking on this occasion, all the guests praised the various activities of Gyan Gangotri Kala Manch wholeheartedly. In the beginning, Dr. Manju Lodha, founder of Gyan Gangotri Kala Manch, gave detailed information about the objectives and plans of this representative organization. The successful stage management of the function was done by famous radio jockey Vidhi Jain. In the end, on behalf of the organization, heartfelt gratitude was expressed to the various sponsors of the program and the main participants in the event, including Mrs. Manju Lodha, Suman Kothari, Meena Bafna, Manju Jain, Saroj Kothari, Indira Khinvsara and Pushpa Bub, as well as all the members of Gyan Gangotri Kavya Manch, for their tireless and active participation.
