Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.67144.54 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 06 February 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 11924.96 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 55218.26 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Feb-25 futures was reached at 20220 point.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 8630.28 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was up by 0.17% to Rs. 84708 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Feb-25 contract was up by 0.12% to Rs. 67774 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.08% to Rs. 8365 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Mar-25 contract was up by 0.14% to Rs. 84090 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was down by 0.76% to Rs. 95240 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was down by 0.7% to Rs. 95056 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was down by 0.69% to Rs. 95034 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 3496.81 crores with volume of 4135 lots and OI of 18439 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2212.07 crores with volume of 7716 lots and OI of 28975 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1319.65 crores. COPPER Feb-25 contract was up by 0.53% to Rs. 855.45 per kg and ZINC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.56% to Rs. 268.8 per kg while ALUMINIUM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.57% to Rs. 256.4 per kg and LEAD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.22% to Rs. 180.85 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 781.57 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 148.02 crores, Lead futures Rs. 15.76 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 257.60 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2012.61 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.8% to Rs. 6280 per BBL while NATURALGAS Feb-25 contract was up by 3.05% to Rs. 294.4 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 356.30 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1357.01 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.13% to Rs. 917 per kg and COTTONCNDY May-25 contract was down by 0.72% to Rs. 55000 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 55218.26 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 888.08 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was up by 15.33% to Rs. 119.60 with volume of 60647 lots & OI of 21304 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6200 was down by 18.92% to Rs. 96 with volume of 47390 lots & OI of 11112 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.290 was up by 40.64% to Rs. 17.65 with volume of 13942 lots & OI of 4216 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.290 was down by 23.6% to Rs. 12.95 with volume of 15218 lots & OI of 5830 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.86000 was down by 1.49% to Rs. 725.00 with volume of 649 lots & OI of 554 lots, while Gold Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.84000 was down by 7.57% to Rs. 940 with volume of 1126 lots & OI of 590 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by 16.1% to Rs. 2348.00 with volume of 1115 lots & OI of 1145 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was up by 12.26% to Rs. 2070 with volume of 1198 lots & OI of 505 lots.
