SERIOUS COMPLAINT AGAINST SENIOR INCOME TAX OFFICERS OF AHMEDABAD GUAJARAT STATE
Having come to lnow that some senior Income Tax department officers of Ahmedabad (Gujarat State) has misused the powers deligated to them by
Central Government. details of such complaint is as under :-
1 Informants may be given reward as per the norms of C.B.D.T. ( Finance Department – Govt. 0f India ) New Delhi. The reward upto 10 persent of
Additional Income Tax received, should be given to the Informants as per Gujde lines of C.B.D.T. New delhi.
2 There are many informants at Kadi (Mehsana), Mehsana, Baroda, Surat, Rajkot and Ahmedabad who are providing the IMP information of Evasion of Income Tax at the cost and risk which should be considered sreiously.
3 It is observed that – Some Income Tax Officers are not performing their duty honestly, towards Nation. It is fundamental duty of … (1) Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, (2) D.G.I.T. (3) Principal Commissioner of
Investigation, Ahmedabad and various Ward Officers to find out Evasion of Income Tax from the parties like Builders, Major Contractors, & Major Industrialists. Unfortunately some I.T.Officers had not performed their duty
honestly and faithfully to Central Government.
4 It is observed that some Informants had provided confidential and perfact information of Evasion of Income Tax amounting to Rs.6400/-Crores with
documentary Evidences in writing and inwarded in Ahmedabad Head Office. ( i.e. Principal Commissioner of Income tax (2) D.G.I.T. (3) Principal Commissioner Investigation, Ahmedabad on date 21/05/2025 & date:23/06/2025.The concerned I.T. Commissioners of Investigation wing had not given appointment to the informants for detailed discussion even requested very often, in writing. and No actions had been taken so far.which retulted haevy financial loss to Central Government.
The informants were watching souranding actiivities of the parties involved in Evasion of Income Tax. since long.
8 It is fact that some Senior Income Tax officers had leaked the information and parties had been alerted. This happened due to Some IncomeTax officers who are involved in bad practice of Curruption. by contact with Chartered Accountants and Tax Consultants indirectly.and made curruption of crores of Rupees.
