Himachali Industrialist Doctor Mehinder Sharma donated Rs One Crore One lakh Rs for strengthening pilgrimage facilities at the Holy Kedar Nath Shrine and Badrinath Dham in Uttarakhand today
He formally handed over the donation cheque to Sh Hemant Dwivedi, Chairman of the Char Dham Yatra Samiti at Holy Badrinath Dham Today.
He made donations for strengthening pilgrimage facilities in the temple complex in the Holy Shrine in Badrinath temple and Kedarnath temple, so that government facilities could be made available to maximum devotees visiting the shrine in order to lessen their dependence on private sector facilities, which increases the burden on the pockets of the devotees.
Earlier, he donated around 3 crores for silver cladding in the Garbh Grih in the Holy Shrine of Kedarnath Ji in the year 2018
He donated Rs 1 crore to the Vaishno Devi Shrine Board to organise Langar at Tarakota in Vaishno Devi Shrine for the whole day on every Thursday from July 2024 to October 2030. A total of 325 lanagrs will be organised on each Thursday during this period.
He donated a sum of Rs one crore for the construction of Durga Bhawan in Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Complex in the year 2020, so that residential facilities could be expanded in the shrine complex to accommodate maximum visiting devotees.
Shri Mehinder Sharma donated around 3 crores Rupees for the silver cladding of Garv Grih at Shaktipeeth Chintpurni ji in Una District
Sh Hemant Dwivedi lauded his role for donating a huge amount for pilgrimage facilities and assured that the temple committee will ensure the best facilities for visiting devotees.
He said that it will motivate other industrialist tycoons to donate the money for charitable and religious activities, thus providing maximum facilities to the visiting devotees at economical charges.
Shri Mehinder Sharma is Chairman and Managing Director of ANS Construction Pvt Limited, which is engaged in construction in the real estate, infrastructure and hospitality sectors. The company has successfully constructed various projects of national importance.
