Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.56675.61 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 25 March 2025 till 4:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 9166.29 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 47507.42 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Apr-25 futures was reached at 20880.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 6639.24 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was up by 0.48% to Rs. 87696 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Mar-25 contract was up by 0.46% to Rs. 70580 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Mar-25 contract was up by 0.81% to Rs. 8959 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Apr-25 contract was up by 0.39% to Rs. 87657 per 10 gram.
SILVER May-25 contract was up by 0.84% to Rs. 98315 per kg, while SILVERM Apr-25 contract was up by 0.8% to Rs. 98303 per kg and SILVERMIC Apr-25 contract was up by 0.8% to Rs. 98303 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 4051.70 crores with volume of 4610 lots and OI of 21044 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 783.19 crores with volume of 2660 lots and OI of 19910 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1492.46 crores. COPPER Mar-25 contract was up by 0.38% to Rs. 904.95 per kg and ZINC Mar-25 contract was up by 0.67% to Rs. 276.6 per kg while ALUMINIUM Mar-25 contract was down by 0.92% to Rs. 251.75 per kg and LEAD Mar-25 contract was up by 0.08% to Rs. 178.85 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 940.25 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 223.09 crores, Lead futures Rs. 17.94 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 216.76 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 849.72 crores. CRUDEOIL Apr-25 contract was up by 0.86% to Rs. 5982 per BBL while NATURALGAS Apr-25 contract was up by 0.56% to Rs. 344.2 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 216.88 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 489.50 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Mar-25 contract was down by 0.13% to Rs. 921 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 contract was up by 0.15% to Rs. 52780 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 47507.42 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 432.41 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6000 was up by 14.19% to Rs. 150.50 with volume of 21629 lots & OI of 9493 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.5900 was down by 15.91% to Rs. 127.4 with volume of 18572 lots & OI of 10115 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.340 was up by 1.83% to Rs. 25.05 with volume of 5590 lots & OI of 2444 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.340 was down by 6.5% to Rs. 20.85 with volume of 4598 lots & OI of 2820 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.88000 was up by 55.76% to Rs. 169.00 with volume of 5442 lots & OI of 1502 lots, while Gold Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.87000 was down by 59.22% to Rs. 94 with volume of 4813 lots & OI of 1962 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.98000 was up by 16.85% to Rs. 2635.00 with volume of 618 lots & OI of 370 lots, while Silver Put Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.98000 was down by 15.34% to Rs. 2301.5 with volume of 417 lots & OI of 326 lots.
