Gujarat News: NCDC Regional Award for Cooperative Excellence and Merit held at Gandhinagar, Gujarat on 12th March, 2024.
To encourage the cooperatives for further growth and to promote the spirit of competition among the grassroot level cooperatives, eight cooperative societies were selected for the Regional Award for Cooperative Excellence and Merit under four different categories in Gujarat for the year 2023 as detailed below:
Best Primary Cooperatives in Prominent Sector of the State – (PACS)
Excellence Award – Galodiya Gamni Seva Sahakari Mandli Limited, Taluka- Khedbrahma, Dist. Sabarkantha.
Merit Award – Khalikpur Group Seva Sahakari Mandli Ltd, Khalikpur, Taluka- Modasa, Dist. Aravalli.
Best Women Cooperatives
Excellence Award- Shri Gujarat Mahila Lokswasthya Sewa Sahakari Mandli Ltd, Amraiwadi, Dist. Ahmedabad.
Merit Award- Lunal Mahila Dudh Utpadak Sahakari Mandli Limited, Taluka-Tharad, Dist. Banaskantha.
Best Primary Cooperatives in Prominent Sector of the State – (Sugar)
Excellence Award – Shree Narmada Khand Udyog Sahakari Mandli Limited, At. Dharikheda, Taluka:Nandod, Dist. Narmada.
Merit Award- Shree Kamrej Vibhag Sahakari Khand Udyog Mandli Ltd, Taluka: Kamrej, Dist: Surat.
Best Primary Cooperatives in Prominent Sector of the State – (Dairy)
Excellence Award- Vauva Dudh Utpadak Sahakari Mandali Limited, At & Post:Vauva, Taluka: Sanatalpur, Dist: Patan.
Merit Award- Sagrosana Dudh Utpadak Sahakari Mandli Limited, At & Post: Sagrosana, Taluka: Palanpur, Dist: Banaskantha.
These awards were given to aforesaid societies at the function organised by NCDC on 12.03.2024 at Banquet Hall of Green Apple Hotel, Sector:16, Gandhinagar. Shri Dinesh Suthar, Chief Executive of Gujarat State Co-operative Marketing Federation Ltd.(Popularly known as GUJCOMASOL) was chief guest on the occasion. Shri Jitendra R. Thakkar, I/C Managing Director, Gujarat State Federation of Co-operative Sugar Factories Limited were other dignitaries who graced the occasion.

The award function was moderated by Shri Rohit Khatri, Senior Assistant, NCDC Gandhinagar. Shri Sanjay Kumar, Regional Director of NCDC in his introductory remarks welcomed all the guests and participants in the award function. He further highlighted NCDC’s schemes as well as selection criteria for the Regional award. He urged the cooperatives to take advantage of NCDC’s liberal schemes for betterment of their members.
Shri Dinesh Suthar, Chief Executive of Gujarat State Co-operative Marketing Federation Ltd(GUJCOMASOL) Chief Guest of the function congratulated NCDC for organizing award ceremony for cooperative societies. He urged societies members to abide by cooperative principals and norms.
An amount of ₹. 25,000/- was given for NCDC Regional Awards for Cooperative Excellence 2023, while an amount of ₹. 20,000/- was given for NCDC Regional Awards for Merit 2023. Beside cash award awardees also received a Certificate and memento.
